1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using KidIQ ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of a child, you represent that you are the child's parent or legal guardian and consent to these terms on their behalf.

2. Description of Service

KidIQ is an AI-powered educational platform designed to help parents support their children's learning and development. The Service includes personalized learning plans, progress tracking, AI tutoring, gamification, and family collaboration features.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create a parent/guardian account
  • Children under 13 may only use the Service with verified parental consent
  • Children access the Service through a restricted child interface with a PIN
  • Teachers and co-parents may be invited by the primary account holder

4. Accounts and Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account
  • Notify us immediately at support@kidiq.ai if you suspect unauthorized access

5. AI-Generated Content

KidIQ uses artificial intelligence to generate educational content, assessments, and insights. Please note:

  • AI-generated content is for educational purposes only and should not replace professional advice
  • While we strive for accuracy, AI content may occasionally contain errors
  • Parents should review AI-generated insights and use their own judgment
  • AI assessments are developmental guides, not clinical diagnoses

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Share your account credentials with unauthorized persons
  • Use the Service to collect information about other users
  • Reverse engineer any aspect of the Service

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by KidIQ and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your learning data belongs to you.

8. Subscription and Billing

  • KidIQ offers free and paid subscription tiers
  • Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of purchase

9. Limitation of Liability

KidIQ is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Data deletion follows our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
